Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions detailed here apply to all transactions on LPTENT. The placing of an order by any means and the use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. To use this site you must be at least 18 years of age. Please note that these terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Description of Goods
It is our intention to offer the most accurate information and image that is available to us however we cannot guarantee the reliability of the information contained on our pages. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information including product descriptions appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order. Certain items and descriptions shown in our online brochure are not available or applicable for the UK market and we recommend customers check with us before ordering.
Our range is constantly evolving and we endeavour to provide the most up to date information possible. If a product is incorrectly listed we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders, whether or not the order has been confirmed. Where your card has already been debited we will refund or credit your card immediately for the value of the order.
It is the responsibility of the individual customer/ end user to ensure that goods they select and order are suitable for the purpose they intend to use them for. It is also the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the product is suitable for the conditions in which it is used. We cannot and will not be held responsible for any damage caused to or by incorrect use, inadequate securing or ballasting of our products. All our marquees are designed as temporary shelters and must be taken down if prevailing weather conditions dictate. If in doubt – Take it down. We may, at our discretion accept goods returned to us as unsuitable provided that they remain unopened, complete and unused. Goods accepted in these cases may be subject to a handling fee of up to 15%. It will be your responsibility to cover all carriage costs involved.
All goods purchased on our site are covered by the manufacturers 12 month warranty unless stated otherwise. Our warranty covers you against manufacturing defects and not against accidental damage caused by anyone or any prevailing weather conditions. We take all claims of manufacturing defects very seriously and will require the return of the item in question for our examination before any decision can be made.
All prices quoted on our site are in £ sterling and contain VAT at the current rate. Payment can be made by most Credit or Debit cards or by cheque. Orders can also be placed via our secure server, by phone or by post. You must provide us with your exact name, address and telephone number as it appears on your statement as incorrect information may lead to delays in shipping your goods. Orders placed by cheque will be held until your cheque has cleared, which can take at least 10 days. All transactions are subject to verification and in some instances may require a credit check. We will not be liable for delay and non-delivery on payments where authorisation has been refused.
AvailabilityAll goods and services listed are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any stage. If we are unable to supply the goods within our specified time limit (normally 14 days from placement of order) we will notify you and refund or credit your card with the appropriate amount. We will not be responsible for any other losses you suffer as a result of the non-delivery of your order.
You will be responsible for goods as soon as we have delivered them to your door and you have signed for them. Do not sign for goods until you have examined them as courier responsibility ends with your signature. If you are unsure of the condition of your consignment do not accept it and contact us immediately. When you receive your order please check the condition of your goods and only sign for the consignment when you are happy with it. The responsibility of our couriers ends when you sign for your consignment and they will not accept claims for goods damaged in transit thereafter. If you have ordered large or heavy goods or live above ground level please ensure that you have someone available to assist our driver with the delivery.
For security reasons we can only deliver your order to the address shown on your credit card statement. We may, at our discretion deliver your order to a verifiable place of work. You will be required to supply evidence to support this. Please contact us if you require this service.
All prices quoted on LPTENT are subject to standard delivery to the UK mainland via our chosen courier service and will be made under normal conditions between the hours of 8am and 6pm weekdays. Although our couriers operate on a next working day basis this is not guaranteed and we ask all customers to place their orders to allow 2 working days for delivery. Timed, Saturday AM and deliveries to offshore islands are available at an extra cost (but are not guaranteed) by phoning our customer service line. The majority of deliveries are made from stock within 2 working days of order placement. Items which are not in stock may take slightly longer but we will contact you with details. Deliveries of large and heavy items will require assistance and it will be your responsibility to provide this at delivery. Please note that we will not be liable for any costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering goods that is beyond our reasonable control. In the event that your goods appear lost in transit please contact us immediately and we will attempt to rectify the situation.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase you may return it to us within 7 working days of purchase provided that the product has not been opened or used. You will be wholly responsible for the return shipping and insurance of any goods. Refunds under these conditions exclude carriage charges. You must inform us of your intention to return your goods before despatching any items to us. We will not accept delivery of any goods which have been, or appear to have been opened. This does not affect your statutory rights as a private consumer.
Your Right To Cancel
You have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days of receiving your order and return or make available for collection unopened and unused goods for a full refund excluding delivery charges within 30 days. You should notify us of your intention to cancel by Phone, fax or letter - please note that email confirmation is not acceptable. Goods must be returned or collected by us at your expense within 7 days of your notice to cancel. Should you require your goods to be collected we can arrange this and will charge you at our standard collection cost. If you do not return the goods to us unopened and unused within 7 working days of receiving your order your right to cancel will be revoked and we will refuse to accept delivery and the goods will be returned to you. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Time Limit For Notification Of Claims
If your goods arrive damaged do not sign for your consignment and contact us immediately. If the damage is not immediately apparent you must inform us within 7 days and keep all packaging to support your claim. Shortages: It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as shown on the delivery consignment note. Any shortages must be notified to us within 7 days of delivery.
Incorrect Goods: It is your responsibility to inform us of any incorrect goods supplied within 7 days of delivery. Damaged Goods
In the unlikely event that your order is received damaged please contact us immediately. In order to ensure a safe return it is essential that you retain your original packaging as our couriers may refuse to collect goods they consider to be insufficiently packaged. We will arrange to replace or refund your order whichever is your preference. This does not affect your statutory rights
Faulty GoodsIn the event that your purchase develops a manufacturing fault within 28 days of purchase we will generally exchange or refund the item provided that it is in "as new condition" and returned with all packaging and accessories. We will collect the goods for inspection prior to issuing a replacement or refund. This does not apply to faults caused by accident, misuse or neglect - in these cases no refund or replacement will be issued. This does not affect your statutory rights.
In the event that your purchase develops a fault after 28 days and within its 12 month guarantee we will arrange to collect, repair and return it to you free of charge. This does not apply to faults caused by accident, misuse or neglect - in these cases no repair will be carried out and the goods will be returned to you. You will be liable for all carriage costs involved in these cases. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Data Protection ActWe are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We will collect information about you for 2 reasons: Firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service.
We will remove you from our email lists if you request us to do so either by automatic service or by email to our customer service dept. We will not pass your email address to other trusted traders unless you agree. The type of information we will collect about you includes your:
Credit/Debit card details.
We will never collect sensitive information about you without you explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
The personal information that we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. We may use technology to track the behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings. Please note that we practise a policy of continual review and reserve the right to change the above terms and conditions at any time without notice.
